Tiffany Lynch

Tiffany’s work captures timeless moments of joy along the coastline, from sea swimming, bike rides and walks. Tiffany is particularly interested in the landscapes of past industries and settling culture in high contrast along the shoreline of the British Isles. Her work follows an abstract narrative and vibrant use of colour depicting the golden dawn & dusk hours of the day of urban sea towns, Sussex shores and South Devon coastline.

Tiffany’s inspiration is born of the places she has lived and travelled to; Brighton, the South Hams coast and the South Downs. Living in the West Indies in her early childhood combined with travel in Mexico, India and Morocco fuelled her desire to create exciting unique colour contrasts in her art work. Tiffany is stimulated by moments in nature that evoke the realm of semi abstract beauty and love of colour to bring joy to her audience. Also listening to electronic abstract music while she paints is integral to the artistic process switching her creativity into an emotional response 'matter and spirit turned into a visual reality' Fourtet and HAAI to name a few feature on her studio playlist. Tiffany has always loved swimming as a source of renewal and during the strange days of lockdown she has been sea swimming most days, weather permitting, which had a huge influence to her current freedom of colour, movement and expression in the most recent collection of artwork. Her mission is to create beautiful paintings to bring energy and joy to the viewer through colour and composition, incorporating a contrast of gloss and matte surfaces thus projecting a golden light to reflect the ever-changing nature of light in the elements.
