Sauna’s inclusion in the gallery has resulted in exceptional sales and an audience of dedicated collectors. After a winter of studio based painting Shaunna has delivered a comprehensive new collection for us to show at the Battersea Affordable Art Fair, 4-8 March, at the Evolution Centre in Battersea Park, on Stand C7. Shaunna Hubbard is an artist residing in Newquay, Cornwall, where the beach lifestyle and holiday culture have greatly inspired her practice.She graduated from Falmouth University with a BA in Fine Art in 2020.Since then, she has participated in several group exhibitions, She was selected to be part of Create! magazine's 'Unleashing Magic’ online exhibition, where she exhibited one of her graduate pieces. She has been the artist in residence at the Bedruthan Hotel in 2022, She also had her paintings featured in publications such as House & Garden magazine 2022 and British Vogue 2024. Shaunna creates work that celebrates her love of colour in the hope that it evokes positive emotions in her audience. It is important for Shaunna to maintain a light-hearted energy, showcasing ordinary objects alongside nostalgic moments then glamourising them. She feels this inspires her audience to find beauty in things you would normally pass by. She likes to encourage a healthy dose of escapism by drawing inspiration from vivacious colour stories, mythology, fashion, and holiday culture. Combining these with her intuition, she is able to articulate a sense of “Joi de vivre," a mood-lifting feeling that unlocks a natural state of mindfulness and contemplation, an integral part of maintaining our mental wellbeing.
