Sophie grew up surrounded by art in Devon amongst a family run art gallery. Her fascination with light, colour, and creativity further developed whilst traveling to places rich in culture and history across Europe, Morocco, Indonesia, and Australia. Now settled in South Devon, Sophie distills the essence of her travels and love for nature in fused glass form. She draws inspiration from the abundant wonders of wildlife to revere the natural world, a gentle prompt to take care of the places you love. Having studied glass and sculpture Sophie has refined her skills in her own workshop at home in the South Hams. She enjoys the challenges of experimenting with different temperatures in the kiln to find just the right way to capture light and texture.
